[General](https://knowledge.recoup.co.uk/systems-installation?hsLang=en#general) # What type of shower will Recoup's WWHRS work with? ## Shower compatibility with WWHRS WWHRS has traditionally worked with Thermostatic mixer showers only, and currently, only thermostatic mixer showers are recognised for use with WWHRS by SAP. However, the [Mira Heatloop](https://www.mirashowers.co.uk/mira-advance-heatloop) electric showers have recently launched as the first electric showers designed to work with Recoup WWHRS, and a SAP update to reflect this is due soon.  A thermostatic mixer will regulate/maintain the desired output temperature and flow rate at the shower head while adjusting the mix between hot and cold, as the WWHRS operates. A standard electric shower is not normally able to do this, risking scalding and/or thermal lockout if connected to WWHRS.
