Shower compatibility with WWHRS
WWHRS has traditionally worked with Thermostatic mixer showers only, and currently, only thermostatic mixer showers are recognised for use with WWHRS by SAP. However, the Mira Heatloop electric showers have recently launched as the first electric showers designed to work with Recoup WWHRS, and a SAP update to reflect this is due soon.
A thermostatic mixer will regulate/maintain the desired output temperature and flow rate at the shower head while adjusting the mix between hot and cold, as the WWHRS operates. A standard electric shower is not normally able to do this, risking scalding and/or thermal lockout if connected to WWHRS. The Mira Heatloop showers are able to regulate flow and temperature to similar effect as a thermostatic mixer, and at the time of writing are the only Electric Showers designed to work safely with Recoup WWHRS.
